What can I do if the other drivers insurance is demanding their money back?

My car was rear ended and declared a total loss. The other driver's insurance accepted liability and bought my car for salvage. They now want the money back because they say another insurance agency should have accepted liability. The other driver was a young woman driving her grandfather's car.

Let the insurers fight it out. Should have nothing to do with you.

Your insurance company, if you had one at the time of the accident, should be responsible for the damage to your car. The other Driver's insurance would only be responsible for your deductible up to $500.
