Could I successfully file a personal injury lawsuit if I hired a attorney?

My son was injured in our neighborhood by a speeding truck and was seriously injured. I have been advised by the doctors to speak with a lawyer. What do I need to prove to get compensation for damages and medical bills?

Your lawyer will prove whatever is necessary in the case. You have both a first party claim for medical bills, wage loss (if he was working), replacement services, medical mileage, and attendant care. There is also a third party pain and suffering case against the driver.

There is a lot involved that can not be easily dealt with via e-mail. you need to schedule an appointment to get the particulars about how the accident occurred, obtain an accident report, if one was prepared by a police agency, getting the names and addresses of all treating Drs. and facilities etc.
